This is a call...

Just ran across Mary Meeker's March 2009 digital report. While most of it was really depressing (and I'm going to assume that's because it was finished before the recent market rally), I did find the closing slides to be pretty exciting. In them she references something that I had briefly touched on here, regarding a call for more/better creative within the online world. This is great news.

Slide 133 also intrigued me. In it she discusses an exchange program between Proctor & Gamble and Google and the surprises when the two groups of employees were integrated within the other company. Not to sound silly, but I did find it interesting a Google employee didn't know that the Orange in the Tide packaging was part of its brand...kinda like not realizing the red in Coca Cola is part of its brand. Then again, they most likely aren't paid (much more than me, too) to know those things, just fascinating and definitely something that needs to be practiced more...
